Monastir City

In the center east of Tunisia, there is a land where the air is so mild, the sky so pure, the sea so blue and the friendship so spontaneous that one would never like to leave again. Monastir, the name already is a real invitation to travel.

The city of Monastir has a very pleasant southern charm. It is a coastal city in the Tunisian Sahel, in the center-east of Tunisia, located on a peninsula south-east of the Gulf of Hammamet, about twenty kilometers east of Sousse and 162 kilometers south of south of Tunis. In 2014, the population of the municipality reached 93,306 inhabitants.

Travelers who discover the city of Monastir for the first time are often struck by the strength of the historical heritage and the quiet permanence of traditions in this city, which nevertheless looks open and modern.

The Ribat, symbol of the city, is one of the most impressive monuments in Tunisia. Monastir is a very pleasant city to discover on foot: we linger with pleasure along its seafront to the Ribat (citadel), then we discover its marina and its historic district. This one reserves beautiful surprises along its cobbled streets.

In addition, most establishments offer a plus in terms of architecture, catering and service.
The high season attracts a lot of people, but in the middle and low season, Monastir appears as one of the most pleasant seaside resorts in Tunisia.

In Monastir if tanning and water sports are your priority and if you do not want to be dependent on a means of transport, choose a hotel in the city center or choose one of the hotels located west of the center, along the beach of Skanès, the constructions are recent and of good standing.

The hotel offer allows you to stay in the city center or in the tourist area, a few kilometers away. Visitors will enjoy discovering a joyful and colorful world. We are delighted with the comfort and the animation of the hotels, ideally designed for holidays in complete tranquility.
