Program
Day 1: Welcome in Tunisia
Arrival, welcome at the airport by our representative and transfer to your hotel. Free day and possibility of free ride.

Day 2: The Medina of Tunis
After breakfast you will have time to stroll through the alleys of the old medina of Tunis, the first site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A guided walk under the explanations of your guide concerning the medresas, the mosque and the other monuments.
After the meal you will visit the famous Bardo Museum: the 2nd most important museum in the world for its collection of mosaics, after that of Cairo.

Day 3: The ruins of Carthage
Dominated by the hill of Byrsa, this site rich in ruins and ancient vestiges deserves a whole day of visit.
After the meal, a walk in the alleys of Sidi Bousaid remains essential with a good tea at the coffee of the delights to digest.

Day 4: Ichkeul and Testour the Andalusian city
We will leave Tunis to head towards the famous archaeological site of Utica. We will continue to Bizerte where we will visit its old port, its medina and we will enjoy a good grilled fish bought at the local market.
We will then head to Ichkeul, the national park where the mountain and the lake make the park a unique site in the world.
Departure to the site of Dougga via Testour, the Andalusian city par excellence where we will visit its famous mosque. Installed at the top of the minaret, a clock, whose particularity lies in its hands which turn in the opposite direction and the figures which are placed there upside down.

Day 5: The ruins of Dougga
After breakfast, departure to the archaeological site of Dougga. This site is perched on the top of a hill at an altitude of 571 m and dominates the fertile valley of Wadi Khalled. Before the annexation of Numidia by Rome, Thugga had more than six centuries of history and was, in all likelihood, the first capital of the Numidian kingdom. The impressive ruins that are visible today give an idea of the resources available to a Romanized Numidian city.
Lunch and departure to Kairouan, the holy city of Tunisia and the Aghlabid city par excellence where we will spend the night.

Day 6: Kairouan, the holy city
After breakfast, departure and visit of the city of Kairouan, starting with the great Okba Ibn Nafaa mosque.
Visit of the Aghlabid basins: the image of majestic hydraulic installations, considered to be the most important of the Middle Ages.
Continuation to the “Sidi Sahbi” mausoleum, one of the most revered places in Kairouan.
Free afternoon to stroll through the marvelous medina and visit its authentic alleys.

Day 7: The Roman amphitheater of El Jem
The visit will begin with the Colosseum of El Jem, the second most important Colosseum after that of Rome without forgetting its famous museum.
After the meal departure to Sousse to visit its magnificent medina which is part of the UNESCO heritage.

Day 8: The Punic site of Kerkouane
Departure to Cap Bon crossing Nabeul, capital of pottery in Tunisia. Arrival in Kerkouan and visit of the site considered the only intact Punic site.
Continue to Haouaria to visit its famous Punic caves.
